That which does not kill us...

This has been the year from hell.
Between the family health issues, DH's unemployment issues, friends having to relocate due to problems in their lives it's just been the worst year on record to date. I pray the job situation with DH works out soon because I'm not sure how much longer we can keep the shredded nail fibers dug in! Please pray that it happens soon? That we get GOOD job news I mean, not that we go tumbling down...LOL

I've also been working on my upcoming release Demon's Fall. Looks as if we're on schedule for an October release--FINALLY! WOOHOO!!!

Of course with everything that has been going on, I've not had time to work on any new material. I had the idea for an interesting SteamPunk/futuristic novel but I'm not sure about it right now. It's kind of a grown up Pinocchio...The Pleasure Clone Who Wanted to Be a Real Woman is the (long ass) working title. But like I said I haven't had much time to work on it lately. The concetration just isnt there for some reason. Please pray I get it back soon? Thanks!

Well I just wanted to drop y'all a quick little update to let you know I'm not dead--contrary to any rumors you may have heard!

See y'all soon! Huggles and HAPPTY READING!

It's been Such a Long Time

Life's rocky terrain has kept me from my computer, from my blogs...and have I missed y'all!

My grandmother seems to be better for the moment. This is actually good news. For the time being I feel perfectly comfortable with letting her live on her own. How long this can go on, we're not sure, but for now this is where we stand: I am home! YEEHAW! I am desperately trying to get back into my work mode. I'm so far behind I doubt I'll ever catch up.

While I was away there were some decisions made. The first being Demon's Fall: We're holding off on this book for a while--it's going to end up being an October release! Just in time for Halloween, WOOHOO!

I also heard on my submission of Morgan's Creek. There is a contract offer in the future if I am willing to make some changes to the manuscript. The problem is, I'm not sure I want to make the requested changes. A couple of them are no big thing, but there are some that directly affect the plot of the story. Since I'm in love with the story, I'm not sure how I feel about making the changes.

But, being as its been almost 6 months since I've had any REAL, restful sleep, my brain, my emotions and my concentration are completely out of whack--making this the wrong time to make any important decisions. Fortunately my editors over at Resplendence Publishing ROCK! They're extremely patient and have agreed to give me as much time as I need to make a decision. I'm hoping to have something figured out within the next couple of weeks.

Well, I have a ton of business to catch up on so I can't stay long but I wanted to let y'all know I wasn't dead...yet...LOL

Take care, keep safe and HAPPY READING!

WHO IS HE ? Can this be true?

IS THIS TRUE?

I did some of my own research after reading this.
Why was his law license inactivated in 2002?
Why was Michelle's law license INACTIVATED

by court order?

There is only one Barack Hussein Obama according to the U. S. Census and
he has 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 aliases.

The one he uses now originated in Connecticut where he is not ever
reported to have lived. No wonder ALL of his 'records' are sealed!

It just gets worse!

At least we only have 3 years of this mystery man left before we can replace him.

Was He There?

Who IS He?

I have always wondered why NO ONE ever came forward from Obama's past saying
they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc.

NO ONE, not one person has ever come forward from his past.

VERY, VERY STRANGE.

This should really be a cause for great concern.

To those who voted for him,
YOU HAVE ELECTED THE BIGGEST UNQUALIFIED FRAUD that
America has ever known!

This is very interesting stuff.
Sort of adds credence to

the idea of The Manchurian Candidate thing having happened here!

Stephanopoulos of ABC news said the same thing during the 08' campaign.
He too was a classmate of BO's at Columbia class of 1984. He said he never had ONE class with him.

Was BHO there?

Since he is such a great orator, why doesn't ANYONE in Obama's
college class remember him?

Maybe he never attended class!

Maybe he never attended Columbia?

He won't allow Colombia to release his records either.

Suspicious isn't it???

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News
contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period
when Obama claims to have been there,
but none remembered him.
Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983.
In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a SINGLE PERSON at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.
I don't have a classmate who ever knew BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA at Columbia. EVER! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating.

"Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that.
Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him there at Columbia.
At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago,
who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack!

And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, who ever met him.

Is that not strange?

It's VERY strange.

"Obama's photograph "DOES NOT APPEAR"

in the school's 'yearbook' and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Allyn_Root#column-one

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school,
Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in
1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as Barack Hussein
Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN).

Can it be that BHO is a complete fraud?

More intrigue concerning "The Man who WASN'T there."

I m sure the truth will be found out, but too bad not soon enough!

Please do not give up on ousting the people at the top. We must go on, and continue sending these out to everyone. Pass this on to everyone on your e-list.

PASS IT ACROSS THE US AND THE WORLD!

It's been a while!

I've been scary busy lately.

Just this minute...okay two minutes ago I finished the first draft of Morgan Creek! WOOHOO!! the book hit a total of 40927 words. It's a very rough draft but thats okay, it is only the first draft of the book. When I do my read through and polish segment of the job, I'm hoping to push it to 41K.

Here's the Blurb:

In peaceful Morgan Creek Arkansas four people have been brutally murdered and it’s up to Sheriff Alvarro Schmidt to find the killer that can’t possibly be real.
Agent Sage Lee works for the DOSR, Department of Scientific Research and she’s been dispatched to recapture a secret weapon that isn’t supposed to exist.
Sage and the sheriff work against the clock to find this particular science experiment gone wrong before anyone else dies—but how do you track something that was created for its agility, stealth, intelligence and strength?

Sounds great, right? I'm so excited I can't WAIT to get this all cleaned and submitted. Then KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME!

How excited am I?

VERY VERY EXCITED!

No, I do not have a definite release date for Demon's Fall yet. No my excitment comes from the fact that I have once again torn open Morgan Creek and am writing like a fiend on this book.

With just a few minor adjustments I have taken it to a while new level!

In fact since opening the file just yesterday morning I've written 5K! Yes, I realize it hasn't grown very much or very quickly but after not having written anything on it in a while I'm impressed if i do say so myself!

The change has added such a wonderful, new dimension to the story that I'm anxious for the tale to be finished just so I can see what happens and how it ends!

I dont have a projected or word length goal I'm just planning on writing until I feel the end is here and then wrap it up.

HEHEHE hope it comes to a conclusion soon so I know what happens but I'd prefer if the book would make itself at least 50K. That would be a nice round number. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Well, better get back to work! See y'all again soon!

Hugs
JJ

PS: please be watching for some changes coming soon. I'm always looking for ways to update and expand myself and my internet presence. This includes websites and newsletters and I plan on making a move before long. I'll be developing a wordpress account where I can have all my work in one place. That change is a slow process as I'd prefer to write than mess with this other stuff so it will be a long transformation. Just wanted to give y'all a heads up on the plan.

YEEEHAW!

Wow! Talk about a DAY!

This morning I’m awakened to the phone ringing. It’s not quite 6 am. ANY ONE who knows me knows that to call my house before 10 am is risking their lives. Someone better be dying OR they WILL be! (heheheh)

So I answer the phone and hear my son saying “We’re leaving Mom.”
Me: “Uh huh. Great….Where are you going?”
DS: (*snorts derisively*) “Where are you going? Hospital? You know? Baby?”
Me: “It’s Monday?”
DS: “Mom? WAKE UP! ITS TIME!”
Me: *jumps up in shock* “What? OOO Ok I’ll be right there. I’ll sit with Alyx while you guys go to hospital.”
I wake up DH and begin running like a chicken sans head and rush out the door. I arrive at the house to find DS, DIL and Alyx in car ready to take off. “What’s going on? I thought I’d keep Alyx here?”
DS: *visibly shaking* “I dunno–Just follow us down.

We all arrive at hospital. Baby is raring to arrive. They take DIL and DS away, I take Alyx to waiting room. (While sitting and waiting Alyx demonstrates the newest word added to her growing vocabulary–BOOBIES. Everything had or was a boobie. So we found a book to distract her. She added yet ANOTHER word to her vocabulary: Anemone. Alyx pronounces it PERFECTLY

Finally at 10:46 Sterling Wayne Gordan arrived weighing in at 8 pounds 1 oz and 19 and 3/4 inches long. He is absolutely PERFECT! Completely adorable, and I’m totally in love with him!
His big sister kept prancing by the nursery window, pointing in at him shouting “MY baby! MY baby! MY baby!” hehehehe I love the way she says his name. “Gerling.”

This means that for a little while I’m going to be difficult to catch via Internet, IM or phone. At least until we get everyone through the aquaintance period. Plus with Easter coming up, it’s going to be a busy rest of the week.

I hope to see y’all soon and as soon as there’s pictures available, I’m going to be bugging y’all to DEATH with them!

Hugz til later!

Talk about a FREAKY DEAKY DEAL!

So last week I had some restless nights. I dreamed some pretty awesome dreams but there was one that DEEPLY disturbed me.

Thursday night I was having my usual sleeping issues, finally went to sleep and dreamed of one of my dearest friends. She's going through a rough patch--starting her life over while going througha divorce. I dreamed of her. Her and a strange new man in her life. In the dream we were sitting in her house and this man came in. She introduced us and I HATED him on the spot! He made my flesh crawl, he made my stomach ache and basically I just couldn't tolerate being in the same room with him.

I begged her to listen to me--that there was something not right about this man, there was something she couldnt trust and I pleaded with her to leave him. She grew angry that I was interferring in her life and she asked me to leave. In the dream i was phoned to let me know she had died. She had been murdered--violently and bloodily--by this man.

When we were at her place Friday night I'd been sullen and silent, unsure how to speak or what to say. Finally I bit the bullet and I told her about the dream. She was slightly tense because she knows my dreams usually mean something...when I've dreamed of people dying they have passed on.

She showed me a photograph and asked me if it was the same man. I said no. I described the man to her. She got real funny. Seems as if she had gone out with a man who fit the exact descrioption of Nightmare Nathan to a T. She had gone out with him THAT THURSDAY NIGHT!

I got all goosefleshed and slightly freaked out. I told her that just because I dreamed this DIDNT mean anything. But that if she could just BE CAREFUL then it would be all right. She assured me she'd be careful and had no intention of ever seeing the man again.

We all know dreams are subjective. If all mine came true...well, lets just say that my money worries would be over, all the normal married people issues would NEVER arise and I'd be too exhausted to sit and write 90% of my life--hehehehe! It could be that the stress of my life colored my dream. It could also be as simple as I was dreaming that her divorce wouldn't be a simple and smooth meeting but end up being a heated, decidedly unpleasant battle.

Death doesnt always mean a physical thing--it can equate change. The end of her old life and the beginning of a new.

However, knowing that she went out with the man who matched the one iIN MY DREAM the NIGHT OF THE DREAM is still QUITE unsettling...

Well off to work! HAPPY READING!

Hello Miss me????

Any one else remember this show? When I was a kid my dad watched it every week. As a matter of fact I watch it on the Retro Television Channel. I LOVE this show. It was the reason I became an EMT and joined the Fire Department. The opening sequence is the ring tone on my phone!

When I was living with my grandmother, one of my aunts came to stay the night and she watched it with me. We had been discussing how many people who go into a local hospital for surgical procedures come out with massive staff infections. When Nurse Dixie McCall came on the screen my aunt says "That's it!"

Confusion reigned as I looked at her. "That's what?"

How many nurses wear hospital whites? NONE!!! When nurses wore whites they used BLEACH to clean their uniforms. Hospitals are NOT as sanitary as they once were.

While her words rang true--they were only to a point. I know of a couple of people who have nearly died from having surgery at this particular local hospital so I don't know that I believe its ALL nurses/hospital staff wearing white as it is the hospital itself. I wouldn't take a cat there for help and we ALL know how I feel about those nasty creatures....

ANYWAY...I watch this show now because I like seeing what advances were made from the time it came out to the days when I worked the ambulance crew. EKGs no longer have to be interpreted at the hospital--the medics could read them and interpret them ourselves. The invention of better splints, easier to move oxygen tanks, better cots, more education for those in the field.

The one thing I FAILED to pick up on until recently was the BIGGEST change of all---WOMEN in the fire house...WOMEN on the ambulances....WOMEN as officers. (This last one shouldn't have taken me so long to connect being as while on the department I was one of only 5 women to reach the rank of Lt.)

We have moved into so many male dominated jobs and I am ashamed it took me so long to actually SEE what advances were made for me. Bear in mind that Emergency was a television show from the late 60s and early 70s--that's been a little less that 40 years ago! In that 40s years women have made several advances: We're doctors, lawyers AND Indian Chiefs! We're mechanics, pilots, police officers, federal agents. We have our place fighting beside men in the Army, the Navy, the Coast Guard, the Air Force.

When I was in college the Army recruiter came to campus to talk to us. I was between boyfriends--had just dump the Jar Head and was dating an Army ROTC--and I thought about how exciting life in the military would be. This recruiter and I talked for hours. I finally told him that I wanted to be a Paratrooper. He smiled a condescending smile, "That's for men. You can still be all you can be in the Army. Medical units, support units," and he continued, ad nauseum, of all the places I could fit.

"I want to be a paratrooper," I stated again. "Women are welcome in all these other areas, why not paratroopers."

He patted my hand. "Women just aren't cut out to be paratroopers."

I sarcastically patted his back. "Then I'm not cut out for the Army. Thanks for your time." I walked away.

One year later the first woman paratrooper hit the skies! I look back on that conversation and feel as if I failed. Had I just pushed a little harder I'd have been able to jump out of planes and serve my country. I didn't fight. I didn't have the back bone to stick to it. (Of course if I had I wouldn't be where I am today. My son, my daughter, my Alyx--none of them would exist so I am not going to complain!)

My daughter's dream is to be a mechanic. She takes shop with boys--she loves to work on cars. She had wanted to be in the Army--she isn't able due to health issues which upsets her deeply but she DID have the opportunity. She had an interview with one of the local colleges and the woman was impressed that my Dd wanted to be a mechanic-to work in such a male dominated field. (Of course DD also wants to be a psychologist...a UN Interpreter...a pilot....LOL--The kid has HUGE dreams! She graduated this year and those are the ones she was able to settle on. Time will tell) But thanks to the cultural shift in gears she CAN do any one of those things if she desires.

Where has all this rambling led? Look around you. Look at yourself are you in a place where you might not have been even as recently as 40 years ago? These shifts are not just for women you know! Men who had the desire can now be nurses and not looked at with disdain--Oh well...he just didn't have the guts to go on to being a doctor--The shifts have been advantageous for BOTH sexes.

Just something to think about--yes?

Hugz!

Hello again

We're still dealing with the aftermath of my grandmother's accident but I am home for a few hours and I wanted to pop in and say thanks to all my freinds--authors and readers alike--for the emials I've received with words of encouragement, support and smiles during this rather stressful time.

I got an email today that DID make me laugh and I wanted to share some of it with you.

The men and women of our military are AWESOME! They face each day with strength, courage, and even in the most horrible situations have an amazing sense of humor to help cope with the trying times.

"I can't hear you over the engines! What'd you say??"

Umm...yeah

YEEHAW!!!!

Tammy Faye's got NOTHING on ME!

Is that a puppy in your pocket or are you just glade to see me?

Oh...that's what I thought!

And finally...

Gotta run! hugz y'all!

Fly By Hi

Hey everyone! Man it's great to be back on my computer even if it is only for about 5 minutes. I'm not home much these days but hope to be back in action very soon. My grandmother had a small accident and needs me to keep her company for a while--until she heals or gets tired of me, whichever comes first. My cousin popped in today so I was able to come home for a little bit to shower, pack up a few more belongings and check out my emails.

I appreciate the patience I've received from those awaiting replies from me. Hope to be back in regular circulation soon. In the meantime...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Demon's Fall

I now have a cover for Demon's Fall and trust me when I say that it was WELL worth the wait! This cover KICKS and ROCKS!

I still have no word on a release date but that's okay. They were kind enough to give me some wriggle room so I'm happy as a pig in mud!

As a reminder, here is the blurb:

What happens when a demon falls for an angel?

Tangela Teshua just recently buried her parents and has given up her city apartment to move back to the country house they left her. However, their deaths and her move are not the biggest changes coming to Tange’s life. Tange learns she is a guardian angel—or at least she will be when she over comes the challenges Satan will put in front of her.

Andras Belial’s father assigned him the task of destroying the newest being on the lighted path. But another battle looms on the horizon for Andras. His inner demon struggles against the strange formation of feelings, of a conscious growing to life. He falters even more when he meets Tange, the beautiful angel just might be able to save him.

Lucifer, infuriated that not only has Andras turned his back on his heritage but he has joined forces with an angel, sends an assassin demon after both Andras and Tange. Can they keep the demons at bay long enough to find happiness?

I hope to have a date soon!

Bummer

I'm popping in to share some sad news. Demon's Fall will not be releasing this month. The publication date has been pushed--to when I can't say for certain, but it has been pushed. At least it hasn't been cancelled all together!

As soon as I get the new date, I'll shout it from the roof tops! I loved my characters while writing them and I made the decision to make some changes to the manuscript which means some rewrites ahead of me but the Powers That Be over at RP are so wonderful they're giving me the time to make the changes and all I can do is thank them for being so flexible and writer friendly!

Once these changes are made, I'll let y'all know the new scuttlebutt!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I'm so very sorry folks! I've gotten so that I Twitter, or Tweet (whichever) rather than take the few minutes to pop in here and blog.

I do hope y'all had a FABULOUS Christmas and the HAPPIEST of New Years!

My next release, Demon's Fall is to release in the next couple of weeks and I'm SOO EXCITED! I just can't wait! I don't have a cover to share yet--but have been assured that it will be ANY day now. With the talented artists over at Respledence Publishing I KNOW it's going to be an AWESOME cover! As soon as it gets in, I'll be SHOUTING it out for all the world to hear.

I've done the January newsletter but I'm trying something a little different so it's going to be a day or three before I can have it finalized to be released--unless you're part of the newsletter group, in which case you should have already received it.

It's odd for me to be on the computer on a Saturday but with the holidays my schedule has been thrown completely off kilter. I always say I'm not back in my office, not until Jan 4--that is the day I officially return to work.

Migrain's trying to come back so I'm going to head off--have a turkey loaf in the oven that needs my attention so I'll say goodbye and see y'all monday!
